Marcus Rashford will meet up with the England squad on Monday as planned despite picking up a knee injury during the FA Cup final, according to Sky sources.

The Manchester United striker went to ground under the challenge of Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha in the 68th minute and was then caught on the knee by Yohan Cabaye.

The 18-year-old received medical treatment on the Wembley pitch before hobbling off, with Ashley Young coming on to replace him as United ran out 2-1 winners in extra-time.

It was feared the problem would rule him out of the upcoming friendlies against Australia and Portugal as well as next month's tournament in France and while he will be assessed by the England medical staff on Monday, he is expected to train with the rest of the squad on Wednesday. Tuesday is a day off for Roy Hodgson's men.

Rashford has netted seven goals in 18 first-team appearances since making his debut in the Europa League against FC Midtjylland in February.

He was included in England manager Roy Hodgson's provisional squad for Euro 2016 earlier this week following his sensational breakthrough campaign at Old Trafford.
