Hull city considering Martinez as replacement for Steve Bruce.

Former Everton manager Roberto Martinez could make a swift return to a Premier League dugout with Hull City reportedly interested.

The Tigers are on the prowl for a new man in charge following the resignation of Steve Bruce and, according to The Guardian, want to employ someone quickly ahead of the new Premier League season.

Caretaker boss Mike Phelan has expressed an interest in taking on the role full-time, but Hull are to seek talks with the Spaniard who left Everton earlier this year.

Steve McClaren was installed as the bookies’ favourite but is not said to be a target for the newly-promoted side, who have just 13 first-team players fit and are restricted in the transfer market due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding the club’s owners.
