Juventus have reportedly made Barcelona’s Javier Mascherano their first choice to replace Paul Pogba, and not Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic.
According to Corriere dello Sport, Mascherano is tempted by a move to Italy despite initially saying that he is happy at Barcelona. The Serie A champions want to reinvest the £100million they are set to receive for Pogba quickly, but have let Matic slip down their transfer wishlist.
That could pave the way for Manchester United to have clear run at Matic, which could see him reunited with former boss Jose Mourinho.
